Enclosed are two images of a unusual under hammer percussion gun by D.Solbend of Ludlow Shropshire UK with a 32inch smoothbore Damascus barrel in 24 bore it has the London proof marks .. For this type of ignition on Uk guns it is more associated to the walking stick type and to make it into a shotgun it has a extension butt stock but the one in the image is a complete gun

Quite an interesting, unusual configuration. It must be super light weight to carry. Does the barrel screw off for storage? Also the trigger guard /hammer mechanism is unique to me. Can you show a photo of the hammer in the cocked position?

I will be able to forward images showing the hammer in a firing position ,yes the barrel screws off in two days time .

Thanks for the extremely clear follow-up images... With the position of the front of the trigger guard being uniquely forward of the hammer and also so close to it, it was hard to see how cocking was possible; your new photos clearly show the offset in the striker head for cocking . (obviously for a right-handed shooter). American underhammer percussion guns are frequently seen in the Northeast U.S., but this quite distinctive shotgun from England is a rare treat.
