Did anyone build a gun with an easy to remove breech plug ( even for regular cleaning) in the early 1800's.

I see ramrods being the big reason some people go to inlines.

It just blows when you stick a rod in a traditional gun.

I use a nice aluninum one for the range and plan on loading only for the pretty wood one.
