Hi Duane and welcome to the most helpful place I've seen in a long while. Check out the Welcome forum and introduce yourself when you get a chance. Lots of good folks and great advice here. Anyways... Here's a link that will help- web page it's not my site, nor my pics, but got (stole) lots of excellent ideas when building my first kit rifle.

I'd be glad to build along with you, and share what i know, and more of what I don't. It always helps to have someone to brainstorm with. This sight probably has abunch of guys building ant any given time, with virtually every skill level, andmost everyone is willing to share. Some are starting with a chunk of wood and some parts to some having kits that are almost finished guns in the white So take your pick and keep chatting. I'm only slightly better at typing than you. I use two fingers, while biting my toung Bill

While we don't have a "build along", several folks have posted some very helpful (it is hoped) posts.
An example of some of my postings are in the following links:

BUILDING LINK TO THE "B" GUN 1
INSTALLING THE BUTTPLATE

INSTALLING A LOCK

There are a number of others who have posted similar items covering a lot of the things you need to know. The problem is finding them.
If you use the SEARCH button and enter the subject you will find more than you ever wanted to know.
You might find it helpful to restrict the area being searched to the "Builder's Bench" (which you can select in the Search window) to reduce the number of "hits" you get on the subject.

Have Fun! :)

Thanks for the advice and links. I don't know when I am going to get started, need to find some $$$$. Will stay in touch because I am sure I'll need help. THANKS again Duane
