I have a 3rd Model Dragoon that I am trying to determine the maker on. It is a little unusual, in that it has the folding rear sights mounted on the barrel, it's cut for shoulder stock, but does not have the stock screws.
It has the 3 basic Itallion proofs at the bottom of the frame where it joins the barrel, and under the loading lever it has Made in Italy and Black Powder Only.
It was manufactured in 1987.
There is only one other Mark, next to the standard Itallion marks, but I have never seen this one before, and it doesn't correspond with any mark in the Bluebook or in the Gun Marks book.
It looks like an A with two lines connected to the crossbar on the A that form a triangle between the legs.
I don't have the ability or know-how to put a picture or drawing on.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, any idea where I might find a shoulder stock for this thing?
