Just getting started on this Carolina Gun for a fellow in Wyoming ...

Got her down to .035 more to go down at the breech , called it a night . Hopefully get the barrel to bed depth tomorrow then start the breech plug inlet and ramrod channel and hole ....

...when you get down to the last 1/8" at the breech you know the longest most drawn out part of the barrel bedding , the longest part of the build , had just begun ..Down to the last ...I think it was .035 when I stopped ....maybe another hour tomorrow then hopefully done with the barrel bed ...

Yes, because in a blink of an eye 52 is in the rearview and you are just amazed at yourself for thinking you had aches and pains at that age.
I guess but ....I'm hurtin today ! Backs killing me . I had spine surgery when I was 41 . Had three herniated discs , one wrapped around the sciatica paralizing my left leg , except for the pain . Its hurtin today ... Oh well ...Can't whine all day . Back to work
 
.... Down and dirty ...hardest part of any build is done .....get the breech plug back in it and get started on it
