Nice videos. But I do have a question. Since the web between the barrel and ramrod was thick enough to fit the front lock bolt, why did you drill the lock so high that you had to groove the barrel? Just trying to learn.

The ramrod hole ended up going slightly lower than planned. The hole was off by a millimeter or so at the lock. I probably should have drilled the ramrod hole before the lock bolts. It works out int eh end either way.
