I just sent out emails to pietta and ubertis early this morning asking them if they can sell a replacement frame for a revolver. I never see them on the parts websites or anything. Has anyone here ever had luck buying a steel frame for an old worn out brass one? I'm just curious. Yesterday I managed to exchange my brass 1851 navy .44 for a brass 1858. I've been seeing individual parts for sale online that would keep me from having to own too many of the same revolver. But I'd really like to have a steel frame on standby just in case I ever manage to stretch my brass.
