I have been wanting one of these rifles for a long while now but the price keeps going up $20-$30 every year. My question is are they really worth the $520 they are asking now or are they overpriced? Can someone give me a lead on a kit for this style of rifle in the same price range or less. Thanks.

Well, I bought one when they were $299 and like a dummy - I sold it thinking I needed a custom rifle.
It was a good shooting gun when I was on. As for the price now - about the only thing I can say is they will most likely continue to go higher.

I think they are over priced for what they are, I hadone of the last American made Hatfield clones and it was a good gun but now they are just to closely priced to some of the American made guns like Rustic Arms. in my opinion.

When I bought mine they were 400.00, next year they went to 500.00. Overpriced. As they are a plain gun. Dilly

I was looking at one last year, but when the price went up again I went with a TVM southern rifle for only a couple hundred more

I looked at everything that was avalable around here before I got my Lyman Trade rifle. Our prices tend to be higher than in the states, and we have less to choose from. The Trade rifle ran $335 and I am very pleased with it. Most of the other Italian rifles run $500 and up.

I agree, it is a top line production gun for the money. With the Euro out pacing the Dollar you can buy one now or pay more latter. That also applies to all the lower priced European reproductions and European manufactured BP guns.

1 US Dollar = 0.68248 European Euro

1 Euro = 1.46525 US Dollar

This is why they keep rising in price.

I have one and its a great rifle. Fires every time and is very accurate. Now - there are drawbacks; the most telling of which is the ability to get replacement parts and service on these rifles. I think though, that if I were in the market for a ML today, I would take a strong look at having a rifle built - it is not that much more to get a custom gun. However the operative words in that statment hinge on what a dollar means to your financial situation. "Not that much more" is a relative phrase and is relative to how much you can afford and how badly you want a custom gun. The cost for a custom gun is more, but you have to decide on your own (trade off study - we call it at work). Do the research, do the math and keep in mind that when looking for a gun its best to keep your mouth shut - your hands in your pockets - and your ears open. Take notes too. Good luck :hatsoff: .

I believe Cabella's sells the Pedersoli Frontier Rifle as it's own under the Blue Ridge label.
