Cabelas in Hoffman Estates, IL

The Cabelas in Hoffman Estates, IL just loaded up on B/P supplies. It has Remington #11 Caps, some off brand #10 caps, lots of pyrodex, 209, and 777 in stock. Still no real B/P, but just about everything else. They also have hornady swagged round balls now in .32 to .54 caliber.

I picked up some Remington caps and hornady round balls.

My local Cabela's told me they longer were carrying real black powder but only the substitutes. I don't know if this is true or was just this individual's understanding but I'm glad things are none the less getting back on the shelves.

I always get my powder online. Harder to find Swiss, but Goex is usually around. I live in Georgia and wish the Augusta Powder Works would rebuild a plant with the same recipe. Not in a million years…

Where are you finding Goex these days?

Main powder house, or powder valley. I haven’t bought any in months. Is there a shortage right now or something? 5lbs if powder usually lasts me a while. It’s dark when I go in to work, and it’s dark when I get home. Lucky to get a weekend off.

I don’t think Goex is available yet from the new owners of the plant but other brands are available from Grafs, Powder Inc, Midway etc. on a regular basis.
