Yep. He's a history professor and does pouches as a side-line. His wife block-prints calico patterns for sale at rendezvous - hence the "calico".

My moose skin pouch, jute/deerskin haversack and pouch strap are from him.

And Capt'n Calico Jack Rackham was the one who used the Jolly Roger with the crossed swords. Anne Bonney crewed with hime before she struck off on her own. He was a "natty" dresser and wore calico breeches. My dog's registered name is Captain Calico Jack. I was checking out the pirate's history and that is how I came across Ted's website and pouches. I recommend him. Good value for the price. But remember, you're not getting a $400 pouch for $50.

thanks for the heads up on Calico Jack's. I've also placed and order for a few things.

I checked out their site, and I gotta say this: Until Calico Jack changes site hosts, I aint going back. They've got a very aggressive popup linked to them that was the first in a long time that has beat the anti-popup measures I have on my computer. Don't need that carp (sorry for the spelling) and friends should pass on the word to Jack that it's cost them at least one customer.

Yeah I had my popup blocker off when I went there. I can't stand someone selling stuff on a website that has popups, no reason for that crap. :shake:

swampy will you pay attention! :shake: brownbear said he had his on....ya know there's a reason they have them...my question was did it get thru yer blocker...while it was actually on? :winking:

pick pick pick! pick! i actually thought you was readin along with the rest of us...was wonderin, cause brownbear said it was the first time it got thru his..thought maybe it was a blocker blocker thingy.. ah gees now ya did it..

That's what you get when you use free hosting. You can get hosting for as little as $99 a year. It's worth it, if you want to look the least bit professional. IMHO

Ditto - it came through my fire wall as well. When I Googled the site and went through that way I got no pop up.
