Further to this and I'll keep it very short as its off thread, independant reviews of this pop up product are not good.

That's what you get when you use free hosting. You can get hosting for as little as $99 a year. It's worth it, if you want to look the least bit professional. IMHO

Ditto that one Claude. Very unprofessional, which also doesn't shed a good eye on their products. Anybody that is so cheap that they'll let ANY potential customer suffer thru that garbage wouldn't get any of my business, nor a return visit.

I've had my web site "turned off" for over 2 years, but I still pay domain registration and hosting on it just in case I ever do decide to put it back up. It's just not that much money per year and I have too much time and expense into developing it to just let it go to pot.

Sorry that everyone is having trouble with the pop-ups on my site. To tell you the truth until resently I haven't made enough off the site to pay for having a paid site, that's why I sell on e-bay. I am a one-man operation at best and do this more for something to do in my spare time then to make a fortune off of my customers. If things pick up in the future, I may be able to get a better site built. Until then, I'm sorry to say the pop-ups will be there. It's no fun for me either. I even get them when I work on the site. All I can say is that I try to offer quality goods at a fair price. Calico Jack

Jason, you should have gotten your haversack by now. If you haven't let me know. The proper thing to do would have been to contact me. If you are not happy with what you bought, for any reason, let me know. I will pay the return shipping and give you your money back. I have only had one complaint about my work. I made that person the same offer and they never took me up on it. Next time you have a complaint go to the source of your problem rather then a public form.

my apologies. it wasnt meant as a complaint just stating the situation. have had some bad experiences on ebay recently. i started this post not as a form of complaint but rather to see if anyone owned any of your items to se what they thought of them or in stumpkillers case maybe have them post a few pics. and if you read my reply to him i liked them and am anxious to see mine. i never meant for it to become an insult or complaint situation again i apologize to you jack an dto my fellow forum members as well.

Jason, not a problem. I have had my share of problems with e-bay and e-bay seller. It seems that things can get out of hand and misunderstandings can occure. If you don't get your haversack by the first of the week let me know. It should have gotten there by now.

Hi Calico,

Try GoDaddy . You're looking at $43.08 for an entire year on their budget plan, which is all you'd need. I use them for the Green Mountain Rangers site I did and they're about as inexpensive and reliable as I've found.

I used another company for my wifes site, Soft in the Head, paid a lot more for it, and they were down for 5-days due to a fire. Totally irresponsible!

In any case, I don't think you're getting the point of what people are saying here. It's better to NOT have a site up than one that constantly throws pop-ups in your face. You drive people away from your products and that's a crime because you sell some nice stuff. Why build a site that is constantly trying to send people somewhere else??

Hard to convey over a post, but this is meant to be constructive, not insulting.

I agree. Sometimes, in business, there are things that you can't afford not to do. Making that first impression is very important and with so many options on the Internet, people don't have much patience and it's hard top get them back, once they've gone elsewhere.

well, happy with the site or not...there is definitely a need for them...this thread, has over 700 views for one trading site..!...and i know ya all know i stink at puters ..but ever been to T/C's site??????????holy smokes what a pain in the butt! couldn't even get thru it had to quit! if yer gonna have a site shouldn't it be user friendly...i don't consider t/c friendly..at all! :cursing: couldn't get 1/4 of the pages to POP UP! gees! okay i'm rantin..w/ reason! I agree. When I design sites, "User Friendly" is second on the list. Number one is "content".

Here's one I just finished (I know, off-topic)
