For those who may not know:
Camden was a battle in which the British won and were encouraged to chase the Continentals until they solved the problem in the South. The American commander had fled north for a couple of states and was shortly replaced with Nataniel Greene. He began a series of fight and retreat actions most of which were defeats under the rules of the day, but wore the British down. This chase led the British into serious need of supply, people and transport as he had burned their comfort items and many support wagons so as to travel as lightly as the Continentals. The combination of hit and run from Continentals, the lack of support from local people on the journey and loss of supplies and equipment led to their need to seek shelter at Yorktown where they hoped that the British Navy would reinforce, resupply or remove them...
Their world turned upside down.
Camden was the begining of the end for Cornwallis and is the start of the 225th anniversary of that campaign.
