I've had this thing laying in the chip pan under the Lathe for awhile suppose i'll get around to finishing one of these day's if i ever run out of thing's to do.

The gentleman that gave me the blueprint for this has 2 that i turned for him

Mule Brain the bore is 5/8 and i ain't got a clue what alloy steel it is,the guy furnished the material for the other barrel's and this was a piece that was left over.
 
Looks stout enough to me! I would assume, that you will be cutting down those trunnions some to fit to a carriage?

I really need some small scale carriage plans!

I just got two barrels from my brother, and will post a thread on them!
