I ran accross these old model cannon plans, and thought somebody might be interested. The chances of finding 50 year old magazine articles are probably slim to none, so if you really think you might use the plans, I will send out copies if I get your snail mail addy.

Civil War Parrot Rifle, Science & Mechanics magazine, April 1960

1781 8-pound British Howitzer, Science & Mechanics Magazine, Nov. 1960

U.S. 24 Pounder, from the main battery of the U.S. frigate Constitution, Popular Mechanics magazine Feb. 1969.

I have originals of the first 2,so should be able to get good copies. The 24 pounder is old photocopies that are turning brown and it appears I may be missing parts of the carriage. If any one else can find this issue, I wouldn't mind having a new copy myself.

Always handy stuff to hang onto. I have those on a CD that someone was selling on the internet a couple of years ago.

Any chance you have a scanner and could post them here? Might save the postage... :v

Unfortunately, no. However, if there is enough demand, maybe I could finally justify getting one. Then, the problem would be getting my low computer skills to figure out how to post them. Each article is several pages long.

You probably can't post them here as they are probably still under copyright protection.
