Can't find gun bench post?

There was a post maybe a couple years back for a gun bench made from 2" X 12" lumber.I tried the search feature without any success. If anyone could right the wayward ship it would be greatly appreciated. :hatsoff: Thanks

Thanks Claude that one with the two vices mounted on it is simalur to the one I remember seeing. The one I remember hed had a cam lock type vice to secure the rifle . Thanks again :hatsoff:

Gus, mine was fine for cleaning guns, but needed the weight of the heavier timber to be stable enough for smithing.

Thank you for mentioning that as I was wondering about it. I am thinking of a base like the second one listed above, but with a leather jawed wood vise like you have.

Gus, the vise worked well, but making some sort of cam lock would make it faster, if you get my drift.
