This beautiful 1861 Springfield started life as a Pedersoli model. It was beautifully defarbed by John G. Zimmerman at his shop in Harper's Ferry. Has a few scratches on stock, but appears unfired. The bright finished 40" barrel has a bright shiny bore. All Italian proofs have been removed and correct proofs added to breech. A SN and C.S.W. on underside of barrel. Zimmerman added a cartouche with his initials. LOP is 13.5". Rifle weighs about 9.9 lbs. Highly sought after work. Price a stock Pedersoli before poo pooing my price . $1400 + Shipping.
