Capt. Capper is correct for a competition you need two pistols, shotgun, and a ten shot rifle but do not let that slow you down. Even if you show up with just one C&B pistol there will be half a dozen pards that will have extra rifles, shotguns and pistols to loan you when you get there. Very few people get started at this having every thing they need. There are plenty of folks that get a taste of CAS shooting and buy what they need as they go along. The folks involved in CAS shooting know that and it is the reason we always bring extra stuff with us.

One of the fortuned things about living where I do is that there are eight different CAS clubs within two hours driving distance of me. And in every one of those clubs my experience has been the same, any time anyone shows up who wants to try CAS they get guns, ammo, holsters, anything they need to shoot, handed to them within minutes. When I said that these are good folks to shoot with I really meant it. Don’t worry about the clothes or anything else, a lot of guys just show up in jeans and plaid shirt and that is all you need. The best thing is if a club near you has a schedule practice. These are very casual affairs where folks show up just to test things out.
