Hi All, newbie form wa-ay down south in Africa. I have a Lyman .54 Plains Pistol - Rifle will be build from a kit sometime. Table Mountain is going to be shrouded in Whitesmoke! I hope to learn from all of you. :v

Greetings Big L. It has been almost 30 years since I was on top of Table Mountain. I still have my pictures from up there. I toured SA before heading to Rhodesia.
You will learn much from this place. I usually sit back, read and learn from all the tallented people here.

It's great to have you as a member on the forum.
I note that you mentioned that you may be building a rifle. As you may know, we have an area called the Gun Builders Bench and it was set up for people like you who may want to put a kit together.
No question is too small so when you get to that point in your muzzleloading feel free to ask about anything that comes to mind.

For that matter, feel free to ask a questin or give your opinion in any of the forums. We are always happy to learn and to give our opinions. :grin:

Anyhoo, I have read through all of the old related pistol topics and I have feel I know some of you already. Thanks for the past help. :wink:

If nothing else, I am now realllly chuffed with my .54 Plains pistol. Glad I didn't miss the chance to buy it.
