I picked up this percussion capper at an estate sale the other day and wondered if anyone can tell me about it. I tried to do a search for it on line but have come up with nothing. It's all brass with a leather wheel.

Thanks,
Rick

Dixie used to (And may still ) sell them. They work nicely if yoy can fit them over the nipple. Some guns don't have enough clearance for their use. :idunno:

I have one and it works good if the nipple stands proud. My go to rifle has a flash cup on it and it won't work! :(

The Gun Works in Oregon is where i got mine. Same MAC stamped on the side. Works fine on single shot cappers that i have used, not on cap and ball.

As others say, works well if nipple is accessible. I've never lost caps from mine and it keeps them clean and safely covered.
