Carry strap options

Looking for some help on where to find a carry strap/sling. Right now I’m looking to add a carry strap to my Pedersoli Indian trade gun. I like the idea of the shackle on the forearm end and the buckle connected to the trigger gaurd But I’m open to hear other suggestions.

I just don’t care for the type that wrap around the barrel.

I tried one of those strap on slings on my Pedersoli trade gun. Looks nice, carries well but you can’t see your front sight with it wrapped on the barrel. Im gonna get some of those Jager type swivels for mine.

If you don't want to connect the rear of the sling to the trigger guard, then there are also the kind that go over the butt of the rifle and lace up to hold in place.

We used to have a member Aldan I think, who passed a pin trough a bottom barrel lug. No doubt a Jaegar type stud could be placed on your butt.

I don’t understand why anyone would use a sling that obstructs the view if the front sight.

Try putting the front loop around the ram rod in the ferrules. Won't interfere with the front sight.

Not so sure I would put that much stress that a carry sling would put on a wooden ram rod. Might work is you have a brass or steel rod.
