How does everyone carry lubed conicals in the field? I carry RBs in a shot pouch and used minies in paper cartridges. What sort of container do you use in the shooting bag for conicals?

Not PC but they sell plastic tubes that are capped to hold them. They even allow for powder and some have a small container attached for a cap.
I once used them when I use to hunt I would put three in my shirt pocket and load my rifle without putting a cap on it. This gave me four shots which I never needed hunting but I had them if needed?

I use these;

I use speed loaders or the tubes you can buy for blackhorn 209. Whichever you pick you can hold several in each. Just be sure to dedicate one or two for just conicals because lube will coat the inside. I also like to keep powder in one pocket and bullets in another.

i use my loading blocks. inserted nose first they stick out the bottom of the block just right for starting into the muzzle. the other benefit is it wipes excess lube off and i never get a lube ring around the muzzle. i wipe the excess off and smear it on my patch cloth for RB.

i use these Traditions speed loaders, they hold powder and projectile in separate compartments. The loader has slots for two #11 caps.

I have some of the old yellow plastic 20 count containers/boxes that T/C sold conical's in.

Put them in the box, pour the molten lube over them, let the lube set up and close the lid.

I use those too if my bullets are short enough. Also the old boxes for T7 or Pyrodex pellets work well. I find them at the range occasionally. Ive had to cut them in half a couple times. Hornady conicals boxes work well also.

Try a pill bottle maybe wrapping plastic wrap from your wife's kitchen

Scroll down the page to my post #13. Even though I have a minie ball and round ball pictured, you can carry the lubed conical the same way as I do the minie ball.

One thing that I neglected to mention is that you must wash the rubber tubes before using for the first time. You can do this in a washing machine.

The reason that you want to wash them is that a lubricant is on the inside of the tube which facilitates removal from the mold during the manufacturing process.

Let them dry for several days (a week is better) before loading. I use a case dryer for mine and the heat doesn't hurt them.
