Here's a list of diameters, etc for cast iron skillets and dutch ovens. Far left number is cast iron# . I've not found any relationship between size # and diameter. Size # somewhat different between skillet and dutch over (ie, skillet size #and dutch oven size).
Dutch ovens had a wire lifting handle, so they could be used over a fire on a tripod if desired.
I don't know much about "oval roasters," but suspect this a 20th century item.
