CCI must be catching up, just bought 1,000 CCI #11 Magnum from Cabelas/Bass Pro. Great thing is no shipping or hazmat when delivered to and picked up at your local store.
I wish I had a local place that could do that. I rely pretty heavily on online sources for my ammo and caps.
We've only had the ship to store option since Bass Pro affiliated with Cabelas. Our Bass Pro is about 12 miles away and the closest Cabelas is over 100 mi. Anything Cabelas has can be ordered and shipped to our Bass Pro for local pick-up.
That's good stuff. We had a Bass Pro pretty close by when we were in Tampa, but the percussion caps weren't available to be shipped there, then. Now, Bass Pro isn't even an option, and the nearest Cabela's is a couple of hours away--and that's IF the horrid interstate route to it isn't stop-and-go because of a wreck.

Don't feel bad jumping on the #11 magnums which I have none of for my rifles ..YET that is .. but I will be able to get my Colts talking well again ;-)
Thanks. I don't feel too bad, though. Getting 1000 magnums at one go makes up for it. I do like security in having commodities in quantity. I don't have any rifles, but those magnums will make sure the Pyrodex P in my revolvers goes off even when the temps are sub-zero this winter.

It's called hoarding! Once that consumption monster is released it's hard to get back in the cage. I wonder how many people that just bought from Midway already had several thousand caps in the basement?

Midway limits people to one order to mitigate that. They have a good approach that way. But I don't know how many people have thousands of caps at this point. They've been all but gone for a long time--long enough for anyone with that many to have burned through a lot of them by now. If there are people still sitting on thousands of caps, they are probably a vast minority and not enough to eat up Midway's stock with a single order each.
