What are y'alls opinion on CCI #11magnum percussion caps?
Welcome to the forum from Western North Carolina. A lot of discussion on CCI #11 caps here as someone suggested. Here are a couple threads found using the search function, though to be honest, most of the hits from the search function will be on ‘where to buy’ rather than opinions on use.

I am sure others will chime in in this thread with their thoughts.

They are made for side locks to ignite Pyrodex and 777 , but I use them in revolvers all the time

I never wished for "less hot" caps

I've also used regular CCI #11 but it seems like most places don't bother to stock them since most people will just buy the Magnums anyway

Maybe it's just me but Remington caps are louder than CCI Magnums, if I'm just popping caps. The Remingtons might be even hotter

I'm unable to get Remington caps (yet)

In a pinch you can take a small fine file and knock some length off CCI #11's to fit them to nipples that need shorter caps , if you're just shooting 20 or 30 rounds it doesn't take long

I have only had 1 dud cap in probably 200 so I think they are pretty good.

remingtons still use the foil system from 100 years ago and misfire in the rain or even heavy humidity. CCI and winchester is some kind of modern orange stuff that seems to really work. If your nipples are too small pinch your caps. the hotter the better for ignition as far as I am concerned so i always by the magnums if available.
