I live in the south. I already checked out the laws, and a 12 yr old can posses, carry and use one w/out adult supervision. They can also use a pistol, but not own. :td:

well there you go
You are not old enough to own a pistol, which I would tottaly agree with if I was your ma.

A rifle or a shotgun will be plenty of fun, and you can save your pennys for a nice pistol when you get old enough to have one.

Hi all,

I have lately been considering starting my own SMALL business. This is still just thoughts, I am not promising anything (could just be a passing fancy), but I have a few consumer questions for you.

What happened to all the cheap Italian and Japanese made black powder (muzzle loader) kits/guns like CVA/Juker Etc...

Is there some sort of import ban I do not know about, or is there just not much demand for them?

I know I would love to have them available again, how about you?

If I was ever able to start importing some from Spain or where ever would anyone buy them?
I wouldn’t really be after much of a profit, mostly just enough to cover the expenses, so they would be cheap enough that anyone could afford one.

I would probably (if I ever do go with this hair brain idea)
start with the more classic models aka: Hawken and Kentucky models, then if business picked up expand to more.

Now a question for any of you legal guru's, what type of licensing would be required to do this.

Please post your vote (I can't find how to make a poll.

1. I would have extreme compulsion to buy lots
2. I might buy a few
3. I might buy one
4. I am not at all interested
5. I don't think there would be much interest
6. Nobody cares about muzzleloaders anymore :shake:

The OP's subject is gone from his mission. Recent posts are not perinent with the OP's asking.

Nice to see fw's posts from years past, he is missed. I did meet his son, we spent time visiting, nice guy. Fred was too ill to spend time with for me to meet him.

fw had one of the longest continously running posts here of anyone, never to be matched, it was about Hawken's.

Farewell Fred.

I don't think your main target audience is to be found on this forum. You're looking for an impulse buyer, one that responds to seeing your product in person as they pass by (booth or store) or the price catches their eye in a magazine ad.

The value of our dollar is becoming less and less with all the printing and spending going on, y'all know what a Pietta '51 Navy Brasser cost just 5 and 10 years ago; same with milk and eggs.
