What's a safe way to clean up a rusty steel bullet mould? Very light pitting inside..Mark

I would probably soak it in vinegar and use a scotch bright pad to polish it up again.

Regards

I would heat it up to get any lead off of it, rub it with a pencil to scrape any tough spots and then coat in in a light oil like WD-40 and wipe dry.

it will depend on the rust, whether it's just surface rust or heavy rust from being in a damp place for yrs.. If it's heavy rust you can use a wire wheel to get some off after soaking for a few hrs in WD40, but then you may find that it's pitted so you do the best you can and just have a decoration for your collection.
If it's just surface rust, the above anws may work. brillo--ect.
