Wow , the cylinder imprinted the recoil shield so far the ratchet was knawing in to the bottom of the well! Great pictures ! Must have had a barrel/cylinder gap approaching .030-.040 judging from the depth of the imprints.
If its an Uberti or other with the same size cylinder. The part where cylinder was hitting can be filed down smooth. If its not real bad, a Pietta cylinder fits good. They are longer than most any revolver. And the ratchet part is usually the same.
