I think you have other issues than the markings for a Colerain barrel. Does the barrel have radius grooves? What is the depth of the rifling? The condition of the sights with the front sight crooked in the dovetail and the chisel markings at the front sight indicate improper assembly and care of the rifle. These are significant warning flags. I would not consider buying a rifle with such glaring issues. What did the underlugs look like? I believe the OP is in the process of sending the rifle back and demanding a full refund.

It could be a Colerain barrel but with no markings you are taking his word that it is. I know it's a small bore but can you drop a light down the barrel and check for pitting or other issues? I think with the sight issues you mentioned along with no stamping, I would be contacting the seller, especially if it turns out to have bore issues as well.

A guy sold me a 32 cal, advertised it as having a Colerain barrel but their website doesn't list that caliber and it isn't marked anywhere. What should I do?
I remove all the gibberish from all the barrels I buy. I have an old and trusted Lyman 54 cal percussion factory gun that is going to get a makeover this winter, i need a project and there is an Italian novel written on that one.
