For sale is a Colt Second Generation Dragoon, First Model. Serial number 27516, ‘F’ Series, from my personal collection. New, unfired in the box with original paperwork. The ‘F’ series was made by Lou Imperato/Iver Johnson Arms in New Jersey from 1977-1982 with the work done under Colt supervision. Barrels, cylinders, and backstraps were cast in Italy and finished in the U.S., and all the rest of the parts were made in New Jersey. Each revolver was fit and finished by hand and are considered authentic Colts. Bright, clear, deep Colt blue and beautiful old style caseharden color. There are very slight drag mark on the cylinder and a slight mar on the wedge (both shown). The box is worn but it is the correct black box. All paperwork, even the original hang tag, is present. The First Model Dragoon is an awesome piece that is not commonly found anymore in this condition. Boxed unfired Colts usually sells for well more than my price of $900, plus $30 shipping & insurance. I am looking for a PARKER HALE musket, prefer a two-band, and might trade. Checks, money order, or PayPal FF.
