Finished this today. Just in time for opening day of deer season this Saturday.

Here's my hunting ball block, powder tube holder and short starter all in one unit. Even has some caps, or I can switch out the sleeve for one that holds my pan primer for a flint lock.
Now that is a FINE idea. I will steal it for sure but give credit to you. It might even be a new idea. Those don't come along very often. I am saving the photos right now.

That is very cleaver and cool man, thanks, because I can build me one!

do the end cape screw on or friction fit? I rely like it!! where do you guys come up with these great ideas??

I have to take my peruke off to both of you guys. Very clever. I have to ask Tom, what holds the block onto the measure? Can it be carried inverted by the thong with the weight of 4 lead balls? I'm assuming it's meant to be carried in a pouch. Either way it's a great idea.

I made it a tight friction fit so I can change the powder measure volume, if desired. Yes, it can be inverted and I will hang this from my horn strap when hunting, right next to an antler pan primer.

Looks to be a perfect match for the rifle. I am also interested in the peep sight. Can you provide detail on it as well.

Cumberland voiced my question.
Your sight is an elegant version of what I've been trying to cobble up.
I need to copy it, to give old eyes a chance..
Is the upright slotted to adjust elevation?
Do you have any lateral adjustment?
Thanks.

Its adjustable for elevation and windage. .050" aperture. This one is not slotted however since it can pivot on the tang screw, windage adjustment is possible. Allows use of buckhorn barrel sight when folded. Really sharpens the sight picture.

They are friction fit. If I remember correctly, the plastic powder tubes were bought at Cabela's.

Really clever ideas guys. That butterfly pattern is pretty cool Tom. Here's a combination powder measure and short starter I picked up a while back from a Canadian guy. Wouldn't want to use it for a long day at the range, but it works.
LOL
