The CLRA annual meeting and show was held this past weekend in Lexington, Ky. They have meet in downtown Lexington for five of the last six years. I had never been able to make past shows but, I finally got to the one held this year. In short, this was a collection of simply the most spectacular pieces of workmanship in rifles that I have ever and will ever see. Some of these pieces were for sale, but not having taken out a second mortgage on my home last week, I kept my checkbook in my pocket. It was sure a treat just to walk through the exhibit hall and look. One in particular stuck with me and it is included in the posts listed below. Mr. Greg Murry, who built that rifle listed in the second link said it was insured for - well maybe he didn't want someone to say - it was well into six figures let put it that way. I assume that this group will meet again in Lexington next year - at the Hyatt downtown, same weekend. If you are into rifle building - this show is well worth the time to come see - prepare to be humbled however!

The more I read about this show the worse I feel about missing it, do they have dates for the next show? And thanks for the site, it's great to see art like that.
