smiles copper corn boiler... smiles sure wish i could get yall onto a site where your conversation could be more free.
i am blind the last 11 years , and would love to be able to boil corn , but the copper boiler would have to fit together with some other things to work correctly. cant really talk about that so...

Townsend’s, crazy crow, turkey fools traders, Samson historic, then civil war traders offer tge muckets, tin cup with hinged lid, Hot dipped tin, backwoods tin and copper….they’re easy to find

I have always used a period correct (depending on the era) tin cup for all my cooking and drinking needs. This is the easiest, least expensive and historically accurate way to go. Combined with a horn spoon, medium size twisted wire fork and small / medium folding common soldiers knife, you can be very comfortable. The small knife fits in any bag or pocket and will take care of anything from trout to deer. To make the cup more versatile, punch a couple of holes near the top with a nail and add a wire bale. Remember less is more.

Those places listed above, I would add Avalon Forge, the twisted fork is sold in most places that have the cups
Just as an aside, forks were used by the Romans but big for cooking.
Eating with a fork did not become a thing until renaissance Italy, and unlike most styles spread slow. It wasn’t until after the WBTS that it moved in to common peoples homes.
Although there are fork sets for the genteel before this spoons and knives served most people in America for eating almost to the twentieth century.
Even then it was WW one that introduced so many soldiers to forks and modern table manners.
This is not to say that a Revolutionary soldier or a mountain man couldn’t have a fork for eating. However if you want a simple kit but not drink your soup and eat with your finger a spoon and knife should fill your needs

Horn spoons can be had from various 18th and 19th century sutlers. Folding knives are around as well, depending on the period you portray. They differed a little in size and shape so do a little research before buying.
