1 (11 ounce) can creamed corn
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg

In a medium bowl, stir everything together. In an oiled frying pan, place a spoonful of batter and fry on both sides until golden brown. salt and serve with butter or sour cream or just plain.

this also does well with cornmeal mix. I add chopped onion or yellow squash to mine also. sometimes a little more liquid is needed.
real good with stewed venison with herbs and spices.

The chopped onion sounds good, I’m just not a squash lover.

When you say “real good with stewed venison” do you mean eating it with venison stewed? or put into the stew like a dumpling?

yeah, as a side with the stewed venison in gravy. make roux to stir into the venison for gravy.
I like fried squash but it's a PITA to cook IMO so make fritters with it and fry. had some Monday but with fried, browned ham chunks with canned baby limas stirred into.
