Does anyone happen to know the correct traditional name(s) for the flat skillet bread that was common to the western frontier? This is the no-yeast bread typically cooked in covered skillet as opposed to being baked in an oven.
Thanks,
Mark

I've seen that here before Flinter - IIRC it's 'bannock' bread. you might try a search or someone will pipe up maybe.

A flat rock in a bed of coals works well for cooking as well

Bannock ... That's it! Many thanks, my brain was drawing a total blank for the last few days.
