Corn & oat skillet bread name?

Does anyone happen to know the correct traditional name(s) for the flat skillet bread that was common to the western frontier? This is the no-yeast bread typically cooked in covered skillet as opposed to being baked in an oven.

I've seen that here before Flinter - IIRC it's 'bannock' bread. you might try a search or someone will pipe up maybe.

That's the stuff, I like it with a handfull of blueberry/raspberry;
Basic;
2 cups flour
1/2tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup oil
toss in a little corn meal if ya want.
Add water to make a thick paste or doe, dump it in a pan, cover and cook slow, flip it once.
