I'll do it...I'll take one for the team.....
I just hope he's not one of those uncivilized types that eat with their hands and slurp their food....

His secret is out”¦. the reason he doesn't like grits is that they run through his fingers and get all over his bib.

Spence

Although this sounds alot better...

Sausage and over-easy eggs with salt and ground pepper, buttered biscuits with honey, and fresh brewed coffee.

Mmm...

Maybe he tried to eat them with a fork?

Well you can let them get cold, cut into squares, fry and cover with molasses.

Not as the Administrator, but as a member of this Forum - Am I the only one who thinks this "GRITS" thing has been beaten to death?

The joke is old, tired and no longer amusing. (There, I feel much better now).

I've done it just about every way imaginable..
Butter, garlic butter, cooked with onions and beer, hot sauce, bbq sauce, mustard, brown sugar, plain, ketchup, maple syrup, etc......but no GRITS...

I have to say my favorite corn on the cob was picked right off the stock and ate in the garden while " picking a mess for dinner" that night, or picking to can. Raw and fresh it sweet and has some flavored any cooking destroys. It is a strong laxative however.

Agreed....but it seems to have become like a forum mascot..... :haha:
Inside jokes are great, but they have a tendency to highjack topics. Heaven help the new member who posts a question about corn.

On the contrary, I think grits enter the threads organically if I may use that term despite their chemical treatment in lye. They did here and are congenially shared between veteran members within respectable limits and reason.

More naturally than Phil's good-natured pineapples are served up. More so than a couple of sellers who've crow-barred in their wares. And clearly more than the vultures here who are obviously always perched to personally attack any new member that DARES to insult them by referencing a commercial "Hawken."

Sweet butter, salt, and fingers!

Lordy, you can think that to your self, but dont writwe it down where he can read it.. we will never hear the end of it :haha:

Now Tenn, we've had this discussion already. No-one needs to begrudgingly say I'm right anymore -- it's just understood. A given. Gospel!

I'd like you to understand why but that isn't necessary; however, your cooperation is.

Thanks again.

And I thought I was "full of it"... :haha:
Thought I was the only one that had hat trouble....I see now I'm just an amateur.... :rotf:
Horn tooting like that reminds me of a calliope on a river boat. :rotf:
