My hunting costs

divided by 14 deer= $93.25 a deer
14 deer avg 70 lbs meat each = 1.33 a pound
14 deer avg 60 lbs meat each = 1.55 a pound
14 deer avg 50 lbs meat each = 1.87 a pound
14 deer avg 40 lbs meat each = 2.33 a pound
14 deer avg 30 lbs meat each = 3.10 a pound

1 200 lb dressed 12 pointer divided by the cost of the 1 cartridge :hmm:.... is beyond me.
A 16 yr old kid making fun of the out of state hunters that paid huge amounts of money not to shoot a deer (after they made fun of the 16 yr old kids old rifle)....Priceless :blah:
I still hunt with that free rifle every year.

You forgot fuel, food for the trip, lost time from work unpaid, what You would have made that day, had You not gone hunting. I'm sure I missed something too. What isn't figured in is ; time in prison for the acts You may have committed had You not had a "Release"

I don't think you can figure the price of your bear license into the cost of deer meat.

Just think of the money you save on therapy for the wife that you would drive crazy if you couldn't hunt.

Some of us like whiskey and grog for deer camp in the evenings. That can get quite expensive.

Also getting killed during the evening uchre or poker game can get expensive.

Well don't cost me that much most Tags are Free,the ones I do buy cost $7,don't take anymore lead or powder than what I need.I use cheap CVA's.

What cost most is hunting with my Crossbow,if I shoot it at a Deer the Arrow is distroyed so I'm out $15 a shot.

Bob, did you figure in that free deer you were given on that ML trip to the State Game lands this past Janurary? It should lower your cost a bit :winking:

i still figured it in even though i didn't pull the trigger....i still had to bring my stuff with me to hunt....even if i did pull the trigger it would have only cost me .10 to do so anyway in the cost of patch, powder and ball fer one shot....as to the jerkey well i had some to bring that last day we were suposed to be hunting again on the 7th of jan but rick said know one was going to be going that day and closed up camp....i was ready and had it....hey what happened to last friday fer that red tag hunt....ya never called me....were going tommorrow friday if ya want to meet us i'll be there bout 9:00 am....call me if ya still have my number other wise pm me..................bob
