Stomach contents as well.

Well the difference between stomach contents and scat is about 12 inches. :)

Still does not amount to an analysis of what actually killer their food.

They are Turkish Herd Dogs Look like a Giant White Lab With A Curly Tail.

I'd say that pretty well describes them. They were not malicious, just protective. Might make a good family dog in a rural setting.

A coyote's meat bag will store food for a long time. It works and stops, works some more and then stops. It can take a day or more to digest a meal. If you open one up its easy to see how their gut works. Everything is still very vivid.

I'm sure cutting a coyote's gut smelled great :haha: :barf:.

The big white guard dogs here are called Great Pyrenees. Ron

Yeah, we got a man over in Brilliant, al that has arond 30 sheep. He has two of those dogs. He has those sheep in town on around 4 acres of cleared land. The old dogs look bored. They do their job. The strays in town will set around staring at them all day....from about 50 yards away. I have never seen them bark or anything. They just look at you and stand up when you get close to the fence. Pretty dogs, but they seem to take Alabama summers rough, heck I take Alabama summers rough.

Heard from a couple Rabbit hunters this morning. They said there are not many Rabbits and they have had Coyotes try to get the dogs when they do jump a rabbit. Guess the dogs barking in hot pursuit is a dinner bell to the Coyotes. They gave it up. (rabbit hunting). Maybe for good as both are getting up in years. Guess I will tape a Beagle in full song and try that for calling. Larry Wv

I picked up a magazine on my way back into the country and saw where a 104 pound coyote was killed. Lets all hope he was just a freak, don't need many running around that big.

My goodness! What have you Easterners been feeding those things, sweet feed?

Capper, you've said it all so perfectly in your response to goody posted 1/21 at 1:45pm.

Coyotes are just no damn good. Hell, they were decimating our grouse and pheasant (and anything else) for years but they were "protected". Finally some sense got knocked into some heads and we've had a season on them for a couple 3 years or so now. Thanks be to God!

I'll tell you what else. I always walk my Brittany in the off season in a wildlife mgmt area. You better believe I carry some protection on these walks. I'd hate like hell to see my beautiful gun-dog and first rate pal chewed up by these lousy things.

The damn things were allowed in states they weren't natural to and kept breeding until a bad situation got out of hand.

Lots and lots of Kittys in their diet up here with a some dogs too from time to time. Pickings good for em atm.

In the state of Maine coyotes have decimated out deer herd. They were invasive the first one was killed in 1964. Last winter I had 25 plus deer in the wintering yard on my property. This year only 3 returned we have a problem.... But im working on it.

Nice.

A dead coyote, is a good coyote.

Just the sort of stupid ignorance that fuels the antihunting crowd and turns ambivalent non-hunters against us.

Why can't people like you go crawl under a rock?

This is not directed at Shine, but some people just have got to chill! About half the post's I read someone griping about something. If you can't say something nice then don't say nothing at all!!! It's :bull:

Sticks and stones.

I wouldn't expect to find too many non hunters on a hunting forum.

For our ill-informed tree hugging PETA people on this forum, I declare Feb.17,2011 to be National Hug Your Coyote Day.
