I knocked back the stain today and put my 1st coat of truoil on. It’s much lighter than you’d expect judging by the last pictures. I forgot to take a picture after knocking it back but will take a pic after this first coat is dry. It’s not as red as I would have liked but I definitely like it better than with no stain, it took care of the grey/purple hue of the black walnut and of course darkened it.
