I just sent a like new Cherokee back to S&W 2-weeks ago cause the trigger pull was about 13-pounds. They sent me a free shipping label and said they would fix it , never heard from them about the repair but got a email that it will be at my door tomorrow. So I wait with fingers crossed that is ready for some range time , if so and we get some better weather I will give my report on it.....

Hey Liver, I'm do'in the same as you....I've got a 32 Cherokee, and just bought a Crockett for Christmas. I'm gonna do a accuracy test to see what one does the best!

Just so it's known I had sent my second hand ( like New ) Cherokee to S&W for repair of the trigger. I bought it knowing the trigger pull was very heavy probably about 13lbs or so but the gun looks like brand new so I bought it. Called and talked with S&W told them my problems with the gun , they paid the shipping fixed the gun so it now has a nice trigger pull ( not sure of the lbs but nice no creep and crisp ) and paid the shipping back to me. I'm very happy with the way they handled themselves , and they are also sending me the newer hammer and frizzen for a older Hawken I have at no cost. Now if I wasn't heading to work for the next 3 days I could burn some powder but it will have to wait til I get back..
