Cutting round patches???

I always get my round patches centered in the bore and around the ball by cutting strips of material, lube, lay over the muzzle, seat a ball and cut the round patch.

Cutting at the muzzle does not produce a round patch. Patches cut at the muzzle are square (with rounded corners). :wink:

Cut the patch in a loading block, then push it out and look at it.

Same lube. Same group at 50 yards. Round or square.
