For sale is a kit-built CVA 1861 Colt Navy Revolver. I built this from a kit in 1982 but have never fired it. Functions smoothly. Has a black parkerized finished. Barrel is 8 inches.

Asking $95 shipped OBO

The Army model also specified a longer grip/frame which lots of us larger handed gentlemen prefer. My brother Fred Martin had smaller hands than I and preferred the non historical Colt's Navy in .44 caliber with the standard grip. He even carried it as a defensive weapon in his taxicab for a while, loaded to the gills. I asked him once about the legality, and he said it was better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. He referred to the Navy as Judge Colt and a jury of Six.
