My apologies, you are correct. I have updated the title. I guess I was up too late when I posted this. These ARE Kentucky rifle parts.

Not exactly sure what you mean by permanently connected. Here is a pic of a different Kentucky rifle that has that brass plate between the 2 and a pic of the buttstock and forend for sale and then put together.
