Found a Kentucky CVA kit languishing in a gunshop in Austin, Tx. Am in the process of building it. Will post a pic when done. Never made a gun kit before and my mechanical skills are almost non-existant. Its .45 caliber.

Nice find. I remember back when BP gun kits were a dime a dozen at Kmart, but those days are long gone. Looking forward to seeing it when you get done. :hatsoff:

got one also biult from kit good shooter. I use 40 grains of FFFg or p or 777 FFFg with a .440 cast ball and a .012 pillow ticking patch. won lots of club shoots with it.

I recently built one in 45 caliber (had sat in a closet unopened for 30+ years),still need to refine the stock work(winter project). It has been a learning experience,still working on finding best load.
