Hello Group,
I recently saw a short video clip on someone else's phone about swapping the cylinder on a black powder revolver for one that accepted modern bullets...
Would anyone here know anything about something like that??
Thanks

FreedomDavid, "technically ", posting about such things concerning "unmentionables" isn't allowed. Sometimes though, because it's part of "testing" a bp platform, the "powers that be" allow a little "venting" as well as some explanation. I think it's good to know what one actually has since there's always questions about maximum this and maximum that . . . testing higher pressure loads than bp can produce is a way you can find out true limits.
Maybe ask your question in the ROA thread that is currently active.

As stated its a non BP poured into a chamber application to a BP pistol and to keep focus on the specific Forum Subject, the Moderators (rightfully even if I don't agree) have determined its not suitable for this forum.

Its not hard to look up. Kirst and Howell used in a search string will get you all the details you will need, just can't be a discussion item here (I do not know about Modern Muzzleloaders, have to look at that)

The Firing Line has a section on BP that allows wide spread postings of all aspects so that is another forum you can use to address questions.

I think you'll find your discussion about conversion cylinders more welcome here: https://www.modernmuzzleloader.com/
Though .... I'm not a member of that forum so don't know for sure and you'll have to check their posting rules for specifics.

at Taylor's Firearms in VA, they have a full selection of 'Conversion Cylinders'; Pietta, Uberti, Ruger, etc. I have several. Other dealers may have, too.
