No pics yet but I have a Spanish .45 cal long rifle that I'm cleaning up to be a shooter. The worst looking part of the gun is damage around the pin, on both sides of the stock. It appears that, more than once someone has used a too big tool to remove and install the pin. I'm trying to decide how to repair the damage. I have actually thought about changing the lug on the barrel so I can put a wedge in place of the pin. Or maybe just inlet a washer or plate around the hole for the pin. Any suggestions? I'm not at all worried about keeping it looking authenic or being historically correct, after all it is an inexpensive rifle, probably an older Jukar. Or just take the easy route and try to putty/fill the damage?
