I now believe the issue was using WD 40. I was able to clean out the barrel, and it is smooth and shiny all the way to the breach. I will never use WD 40 on my guns again.

IF not he can line it smaller or same His prices are way to low for what you get. IF you are looking at an expensive barrel consider a whole new rifle. The GPR is fine for what it is but is not worth sinking a lot of money into.
