Damascus Hawk

This is a hawk head I got from Craig Barr..I reworked it a little,did a little file work to the head..The haft I wanted a lite stain on it..I`m still adding coats of tung oil to it..

I made the handle/haft from a piece of 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" X24" piece of what they called flame maple..Wasnt really hard to make just alot of filing and rasping and sanding and a whole lot of measuring..

I'd stop right there then. The piece is beautiful as is. The simplicity is a virtue.
