I had purchased the black skull, for shooting and well everyday use, I am not a fan of Pietta`s some say walnut, I say burnt orange stain and lacquer. I stripped it off and sanded to 2500 grit then rubbed in linseed oil 1 coat followed by 7 coats tru-oil beginning to like the wood again (DOH), Keeping the black ones for perhaps Halloween.....
