Possible Shop has these 1851 Navy kits listed for $129. I know, they are brass framed, but I can't find any steel framed kit of colt styles and I wanted to put together a colt navy or army kit at a decent (re: cheap) price for some fun. I figue with light loads and minimal abuse I can get my moneys worth.

I'm not expecting anything like the quality of the Uberti Walker kits Dixie sells for $250, but they weren't sure if the parts are Italian or Spanish. Anyone familier with Deer Creeks Navies?

Not familiar with their revolver kits but they are probably made by the same Italian makers Dixie and the others get theirs from, they just sell them at a lower price. Deer Creek folks are nice folks who will take care of you if there is a problem with the kit.

I would like to add that Deer Creek is the only place that I have found that has a good supply of parts for the Armi San Marco blackpowder revolvers. I have ordered several times for several models and got all the parts every time. At a good price also.
I tryed other places before I found Deer Creek but could only get orders partially filled.

I could be way behind the inflationary curve, but can't you still buy a finished brass framed revolver for about the same money? Dixie lists their brass framed 1851 Reb at $142.50 and I know Dixie is not the best for prices.
