with the career Clay has behind him and the talent he has, Clay has less than zero reason to screw anyone.
in the new world we live in patience is the best virtue you can develop.
you may consider an open apology to Clay and the members of this forum will think much higher of you.

I've had issues with the postal service the last couple of years. Seems many of the good carriers retired and we are now stuck with the new generation of slackers. From the wrong people's Mail in our box, to packages being delayed up to two weeks with no explanation, to missing items from an otherwise destroyed package.
Blame the USPS. I live in Minnesota. Sent my brother who lives in Maryland a package. Since it was late, tracked it only to find it went to him by way of LA first, then Philadelphia. At least it did finally arrive.

Letter carrier is a really hard job. And, you can’t blame everything on them. Mail handlers, temp workers, over worked supervisors… not what you think

Well his website says it all. "One man shop". I can relate as I'm also a one man shop. Patience is a virtue if you want good handmade stuff. We ain't Walmart... Looks like a pretty decent shop he's got there. Still don't know what happened, but here is one of my many experiences.

Couple years ago a guy bought two leather shot bags from me, made to order. This was on Friday evening after the PO closed leading into Memorial day weekend. On the following Tuesday (the day after Memorial day) morning about 8:30 dude had already sent like three emails wanting to know why the hell his order hadn't shipped. Said it's been five days... Of course that five days included the Friday evening he placed the order and the holiday itself. Some folks have either been spoiled by Amazon or are just too impatient. Makes it hard to want to be a maker sometimes.

Agree. And Clay has been at it for a long time. I built one of his trade gun kits, was very pleased with it. He’s a good guy.

4-7 days via USPS seems about average for me. Nothing has been lost or damaged in the many purchases I've made from all parts of the country.

I wish I was that lucky. Since about September 2019 they regularly lose or misplace my packages. Damage them too. I recently sent a package to Minor Hill, TN. That is 15 to 20 minutes drive from my house. Guy wasn't going to be home for a few days so said to just mail it. Took a month to get there. Apparently the only way to get to Minor Hill TN from Pulaski TN is through California, to Nashville, to Ohio, and then to the final destination. Just one of many horror postal stories.
